Abstract

Sewing machines are basically classified on the basis of the functionality and features of the particular machine type. The function of any sewing machine is to stitch fabric and other materials together with the sewing threads. The sewing machines are in operation for around centuries and the first sewing machine in the market is in existence since 1790. The English inventor Thomas Saint is known to be the marker of the first sewing machine. Industrial sewing machines are classified basically into four types. Domestic sewing machines essential tool which is available in every home. A sewing machine is an important tool used in the readymade garments manufacturing sector. To study any sewing machine it is necessary to know its different parts. The invention of the sewing machine has helped the dress-making process easier.
