The main objective of this study was to explore weight reduction opportunities for C-70 Steel
and Carbon Fibers connecting rod. This involves carrying out a definite load analysis. Hence
this investigation has managed two subjects, to begin with, static load analysis of the
connecting-rod, and second, improvement for weight. So initially a Finite Element Model is
produced utilizing Cad program Pro/E Wildfire 5.0. At that point the FE Analysis is done to
decide the deformation in the current connecting-rod for the given loading environment
utilizing ANSYS workbench. In the initial segment of the paper, the static-loads acting over
the connecting rod, after that the work is done for material advancement with carbon fiber.
In view of the observations of the static FE analysis and the loading analysis, the loading for
optimization analysis was chosen. The outcomes were again used to decide the deformation
for the two materials.
